Prayer Points

During this difficult time in 2021

'The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom then shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?'

Dear Lord these words from Psalm 27 are so relevant for all involved with the Bushikori Christian Centre at this time in 2021. We thank you for your grace, mercy and constant care for them all, and are grateful that we are all a praying community seeking your guidance in all we do.

July is set aside for special intercessions at BCC, Lord we pray for a tangible presence of the Holy Spirit with the staff as they gather in your Name. This is the first time that our beloved sister and mother to all the students, Anne Wandendeya will not be with them. Strengthen all who mourn her loss, those who are taking leadership roles, please lead and guide as they move forward.

Heavenly Father Uganda is in lockdown again, we pray for wisdom for the government and all in power in the country. We pray that the virus will be controlled and health care available for those who need it. We thank you for the BCC clinic and all the wonderful work they do serving the community.

We pray especially for all the students who are again working at home, many are at risk especially the girls. We pray for protection for them all, and their families and the staff who will be organising study materials for them.

We give you thanks Lord for the privilege of this ministry, and offer these prayers to you in Jesus' Name.

'But we believe that we shall surely see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.'

(Psalm 27:16).

Ongoing Prayer support

We need your prayers. Without the grace of God Bushikori cannot accomplish anything of lasting value. Beyond financial resources we also need wisdom. We need understanding. We need sensitivity to the local culture. We need spiritual discernment. We need unity. If you are thinking about supporting the work of Bushikori we invite you to start with prayer, asking God to supply us with those things that money cannot buy.

Please continue to pray with us in the following areas:

  • Pray for our sponsored students as they start the new school year with many of them adjusting to a new school and hostel life.
  • Pray for them to find God and his goals for them in their lives, with the gifts he has given them and ongoing provision in a country with a challenging economic situation.
  • Pray for lasting impact from the December Spiritual Conference: that many will come to know Christ and become his disciple in a manner that glorifies God and His Kingdom.
  • Pray for the health and safety of staff and students as they travel on dangerous roads and live in an environment with many sicknesses and diseases.
  • Pray for increased financial support to cover the shortfall in BCC Uganda administration costs for staff salaries, clinic supplies, vehicle maintenance and transport costs.

May God bless you and keep you and make his face to shine upon you.
