In 2010 Bushikori began a Joshua Nursery School, equivalent to Australian kindergarten. This was in response to an overwhelming need for small children who live in the locality to begin their education, they come from very vulnerable families.
The families contribute what food they can as a form of payment, so that all children get a meal.
Initially the nursery school was situated on the other side of the very busy Tororo road. For several years now there are two nursery class rooms in the Joshua Primary School grounds.
Some of the children are sponsored and BCC is developing a more structured learning environment. In 2013 they held their first "graduation" to celebrate this initiative.
